Police and other agencies to offer road safety advice

POLICE and other agencies will be taking to Blackpool and the Fylde's streets next week to offer advice to residents on road safety.

A road user Police and Communities Together (PACT) meeting will take place on Monday 12 July between 10am and 12 noon at Morrison's in Kirkham.

Road Policing Sgt Pete Beresford said: "The road user PACT meeting will provide members of the public with the opportunity to have their say on road policing in their locality and tell us where they would like to see action.

"We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to the local community and want to work with residents to truly understand what is important to them and find long term solutions."

Another road user PACT meeting will be held at Tesco in Marton between 10am and 12 noon on Friday 16 July.

Police will also be attending Bispham Fire Station on Tuesday 13 July between 10am and 2pm for an educational roadshow.

Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Blackpool Council's Road Safety Group and Boots Opticians will also be in attendance.

Sgt Beresford added: "There are many agencies that are committed to working together for the benefit of all communities across Lancashire and this event will allow residents to meet the different agencies and get advice around all aspects of road safety."
